Longer protection
A functional promise that is easy to copy, easy to doubt and rarely says why the benefit matters in a real life.
INDEPENDENT CREATIVE STRATEGY CASE STUDY · LUME
I built an AI-assisted creative-intelligence system that turned thousands of customer reviews, a live ad snapshot and uncomfortable private behaviors into a funnel-ready strategy and eight finished static concepts.
Speculative portfolio work. Not commissioned by or affiliated with Lume.

THE STRATEGIC REFRAME
A functional promise that is easy to copy, easy to doubt and rarely says why the benefit matters in a real life.
No sniff checks. No second shower. No pre-hug calculation. No bathroom escape. The product returns attention to the moment.
“The emotional product is not simply odor control. It is the moment a person stops monitoring their own body.”
THE PROCESS
Every audience, angle, hook and claim was traceable to evidence or clearly labeled as a strategic hypothesis.

I separated observed facts, customer language, creative inference and assumptions so a useful hypothesis could not quietly dress itself up as proof.

I ranked audiences by awareness, emotional intensity, objection and the job the ad needed to do—not by decorative demographic detail.

I removed packaging complaints from the creative problem, challenged duration as the strategic center, expanded TOF and kept menopause at priority four.

I mined reviews for raw language, originated and developed the core territories, then calibrated the taboo line: uncomfortable enough to feel seen, never humiliating.
AUDIENCE PRIORITY
The broad market: people who want dependable freshness without thinking about it all day.
Already solution-aware. The job is to make Lume product-aware through mechanism, ingredient clarity and risk reduction.
Needs a credible reason the premium is worth paying—not louder duration language.
Needs proof in long days, travel, workouts, summer heat and high-friction body areas.
Feels that their body changed without warning and wants language that finally recognizes it.
THE ANGLE MATRIX
Lead with the extra shower, pre-hug check, bathroom detour, clothes avoided and the moment a familiar body feels unfamiliar.
Move from masking odor to stopping it before it starts. Pair frank language with mechanism, whole-body use cases and ingredient transparency.
Help buyers choose the job, format, scent and value. Product-aware buyers need decision confidence, not another origin story.
TRANSPARENCY AS PROOF
Sensitive-skin customers already read the one-star reviews. I would meet them there: surface ingredients, distinguish scented from unscented, acknowledge individual reactions and invite patch testing rather than pretending one formula is universally perfect.
Not fear. Informed choice.
THE FINISHED STATIC SYSTEM
The voice follows Lume’s frank warmth: body-specific language, simple mechanism cues, bold color and no polished-corporate euphemisms.
